The sea represents for the Italian territory a great opportunity for growth and economic and social development through the enhancement of the marine ecosystem. The balance between environmental protection and the needs of economic and social development are essential for a sustainable development. In the context of the Mini Maker Faire, BIOVOICES in collaboration with Biobridges and MISTRAL projects organized a regional MML workshop entitled “The economy of the sea: valorisation of marine resources. Balance between environmental protection and economic and social development needs.” The Mini Maker Faire is an initiative organized by Maker Faire Rome and Lazio Innova. A cycle of 7 free training and in-depth meetings dedicated to makers, companies and aspiring entrepreneurs, to develop technological skills. Thursday 26 September from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, a Mini Maker Faire on the economy of the sea will be held at the Spazio Attivo of Latina. In the first part of the day the speakers of the most important realities, including Marevivo, CNR, Legambiente Terracina, Biobridges and BIOVOICES projects will share their good practices, research, ideas, projects and solutions by presenting an overview of the policies, strategies, action plans, technological infrastructures and financial instruments. In the second part of the day, through the testimonies of speakers of the most important realities protagonists of best practices including Enea, SEADS and Mermazing, we will talk about biodiversity conservation, sustainable development, enhancement and promotion of marine protected areas, fight against pollution and to illegal fishing and environmental education to finally address, through the involvement of all the participants, challenges, opportunities and barriers to promote territorial development. Il mare rappresenta per il territorio Italiano una grande opportunità di crescita e sviluppo economico e sociale attraverso la valorizzazione dell’ecosistema marino. L’equilibrio tra la tutela ambientale e le esigenze di sviluppo economico e sociale sono indispensabili per uno sviluppo sostenibile. In occasione delle Mini Maker Faire che si svolgeranno presso i singoli “Spazio Attivo” di Lazio Innova avrà luogo il workshop dal titolo “L’economia del mare: valorizzazione delle risorse marine, equilibrio tra tutela ambientale ed esigenze di sviluppo economico e sociale”. Le Mini Maker Faire sono un’ iniziativa organizzata da Maker Faire Rome e Lazio Innova. Un ciclo di 7 incontri formativi e di approfondimento gratuiti dedicati ai makers, alle imprese e agli aspiranti imprenditori, per sviluppare competenze tecnologiche in ambito Impresa 4.0. Gli incontri, della durata di circa 3 ore, si svolgono presso gli Spazi Attivi della Regione Lazio dal 23 al 30 settembre 2019. Giovedì 26 Settembre dalle ore 9:00 alle ore 13:00, si terrà presso lo spazio attivo di Latina una Mini Maker Faire sull’economia del mare. Nella prima parte della giornata gli speaker delle più rilevanti realtà, tra cui Marevivo, il CNR e Legambiente Terracina, vengono chiamati a raccontare le loro buone pratiche, ricerche, idee, progetti e soluzioni presentando una panoramica delle politiche, strategie, piani d’azione, infrastrutture tecnologiche e strumenti finanziari. Nella seconda parte della giornata, attraverso le testimonianze di speaker delle più rilevanti realtà protagoniste di best practices tra cui Enea, SEADS e Decomar, parleremo di conservazione della biodiversità, sviluppo sostenibile, valorizzazione e la promozione delle aree marine protette, lotta all’inquinamento e alla pesca illegale e educazione ambientale per affrontare infine, attraverso il coinvolgimento di tutti i partecipanti, sfide, opportunità e barriere per promuovere lo sviluppo territoriale.
