Description: CHANGES IN PURCHASE HABITS - BOOST LOCAL DEPLOYMENT Due to the lack of awareness regarding the opportunities that bioeconomy offers, Lazio Innova and the BIOVOICES project, in the context of the Startupper School Academy, organized a workshop with twofold objective: - Train teachers and tutors on bioeconomy as multipliers - Encourage schools to join the special "Bioeconomy" award The special "Bioeconomy" prize, created by Lazio Innova in collaboration with the BIOVOICES project, Novamont and the European Bioeconomy Network, aims to raise awareness of students towards a more sustainable economic model that uses renewable resources as an alternative to those fossils. The winning project must pay particular attention to the entire life cycle of the product, from the use of raw materials of biological origin (vegetable or animal, with particular attention to the raw materials currently considered waste), to sustainable production, up to disposal (end of life), with a view to circular bioeconomy. During the workshop were presented several opportunities offered by the Bioeconomy sectors and different tools to inform, promote and involve the students, that will compete for the special "Bioeconomy" prize and will be engaged in prototyping a Bio-based product. The main goal of the workshop was to raise awareness on bioeconomy and info-educate teachers and tutors as multipliers of knowledge, in order to contribute to the bio-based products adoption. The meeting took place in the “Spazio Attivo of Roma Casilina”, in live connection with the other 5 “Spazi Attivi” of the Lazio Region (Viterbo: 4 participants; Civitavecchia: 4 participants; Rieti: 4 participants; Bracciano: 2 participants; Colleferro: 5 participants; Roma: 14 participants). The “Spazi Attivi” of the Lazio Region are collaborative spaces where everyone, citizens, startups, businesses and local authorities, participate in the growth of the territory.
